I have only one or two sites I regularly visit that require the mobile version of the site to be rendered. It's too much of a pain to constantly go into settings and check and uncheck the mobile box. Is there a way to make this easier?

I thought that if the mobile box is checked, that it enables mobile viewing if available, but if the site does not have a mobile site then it just renders normal viewing? Am I incorrect?

Yes, but some mobile versions of sites suck. That's why we have a smartphone, so that we can view pages how they are meant to be viewed whenever possible. At least that's why I do, it's my pocket computer.

In dolphin hd there is an addon for that.

It's called desktop switcher. It works well.

I don't care for any browser but the stock one, for now. Maybe when there's a decent firefox for it.

On thing you could do (I know you said you only like the stock browser) is use a second browser (dolphin, Opera, Skyfire) with mobile view turned off. I do that if I want to browse without cookies (vote rig polls/etc).
