A client of mine just bought a new HTC EVO 4, and I installed Quickoffice so he can open and edit documents on his phone. The problem is, the phone came with a different version of Quickoffice already on it. When I open a txt file, it opens with the Quickoffice that came with the phone, which doesn't allow me to edit. When I go to the application settings, it will let me change the defaults for the Quickoffice that I purchase, but the version that came with the phone says it is not the default for any files and the Defaults button is grayed out as well as the uninstall button.

How can I use the Quickoffice I purchased as the default for txt files or remove the Quickoffice that came with the phone. Or maybe I'm doing something else wrong?

I tried using the information from this post but it didn't work: http://androidforums.com/support-tr...ow-do-i-remove-quickoffice-default-droid.html
