    Hey
i have had an racer for just over 3 months now and have collected a big list of information that i thought you would like. enjoy !

    1) this phone has no official rom out yet so if you root you have no way going back - sources : hunting the internet for roms , sending my phone back for a flash turned out to become a new zte - racer

    2) it can and cant run skype , i have finaly got 3's version of skype on but when it came out it did not have skype running on it at all and no versions for download - depends what network you run it on- sources 3.co.uk and personal experience

    3) i am an android app developer can i run usb debugging on this device , no the windows driver will not work at the moment but i am hunting for a way around that
    RESOLVED :
now working . after your computer fails to install go to your device manager. after look for a device called zte husb , now click update driver software . click browse my computer then at the bottom click let me pick from a list. after click next while on show all devices then find have disk . now browse for your android windows usb driver ( will probs be with your sdk ) inside your sdk will be usb drivers, click the ini file inside that.
now select the android composite adb interface then next and your done :)

    4) What bluetooth profiles dose it use?
    Resolved :
On my bluetooth list the only profiles that come up are a voice gateway and a obex object push

5)Can the phone support live wallpapers?
    Resolved :
No it cannot, after looking into all the settings i could not find any way to run live wallpapers
    ----------

Any other questions just ask and il try to post back

    thank you ryan walmsley

    Hi ryan,
Thanks for your post. I've been scouring the internet for info on the Racer. In particualr it's bluetooth capabilities. Being a developer (I am myself), it sounds like you might know something about this. Do you know if the Racer supports the Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port) Profile?
    Many thanks,
    Julian
