Who wants a jelly baby?

I was telling some of my Chinese and Mongolian friends about this classic British staple....they were horrified. ...in fact I brought some back with me from London, during the summer. Can't buy jelly babies or gummi fries or gummi worms in China.

Bassett's Jelly babies are made in my home city. The factory reeks of them. I bite their heads off in front of the others and pretend they are screaming - it totally wigs my wife out!

Well I know for a fact they are made at the Cadbury Trebor Bassett factory in Hillsborough, Sheffield UK. This factory makes just jelly type sweets (candy). I would imagine they are made elsewhere as well, much like any other multinational product - Coca Cola springs to mind.

As a side note the factory shop sells Jelly babies in 3kg boxes, and yes the black ones are the rarest.
