I completely agree, bjacks - like I posted earlier, the 'Net is no longer the safe, secure place it used to be. The elderly, however, are marked walking in, because they go to the sites that remind them of going to the street produce vendors, with a haggling gleam in their eye. Free PowerPoint? Jeez, that's ten times better than the old slide projector.
Malware, spyware, phishing - that's why I avoid most of the social networking sites, and places that even makes Windows' firewall stop you dead in your tracks.
I use Ghostery, and I whitelist the sites I trust. Ghostery stays on top of things quite well, and is constantly updating. Web Of Trust is also a good thing to have, as it is a bit like the Angie's List of web safety - the information comes from folks with real-world experience.
Well, I don't know anyone here who has dealt with Southwest Airlines and their little brother, AirTran - but, my fiancée's first leg of her Denver flight was cancelled due to maintenance problems, and, they still haven't updated the new flight information, even though she boarded a flight to Atlanta, instead of Baltimore...
I've been to the airport twice today, 85 miles round trip. I came home on fumes.
I already miss her, and she still hasn't made it to Denver... we got up early, and I helped her organize and pack - she was stress-free, until I dropped her off at the airport.
You get what you pay for. LW
