Help (re)installing MediaProvider

Can anybody tell me the procedure for reinstalling MediaProvider.apk (com.android.providers.media)? I foolishly uninstalled it

I've tried 2 apk installers and the install fails - not sure if it's because I have the wrong apk or because of file/directory permissions (apk installer doesn't ask for su permissions). Unkown Sources is checked.

Got it

Turns out, I simply had the wrong version of the MediaProvider.apk (2.3.7 instead of 2.3.6).
I got the right version from here Stock GB 2.3.6 APK Repository - xda-developers
and used root explorer to copy it to system/app
After the reboot, my camera can browse my pictures again.
Now to fix the custom ringtones for contacts...
