I thought since the Droid X Forum has a thread on reasons to switch to the Droid X, I thought we'd make one for reasons why we won't switch.

    1) Too bulky.
2)Not an HTC device, therefore no HTC Sense.
    3)No optical trackball.
    4) No touch-sensitive buttons.

For me personally I just do not like Motorola, plus the screen is too large

Onboard 8GB storage is not separated, storage for apps only

Keep that baby in a case. We have a limited edition phone now that ALOMED is switching to LCD.

Not too sure I agree with this one. The only thing I can find useful for this is for the camera. BUT...everything else I totally agree with! I still think its even better than the EVO!

Are you kidding? The optical joystick is a huge point you can't play some games without it and trying to edit text without it is completely frustrating.

Reports are that HTC is dropping Samsung's AMOLED panel for Sony's Super TFT LCD (IPS)

This is the first thing I noticed when I saw a clear picture of it. Looks pretty dumb imo with the real buttons on front rather then touch sensitive.

The buttons killed the thought of switching. I had to look into it knowing a newer droid was coming out. The cam bulk is bad but im sure their will be options case wise to make it flush.

Maybe I've just completely neglected it's existence. I don't know...I've been SWAMPED with Nesoid, SNESoid, and GENsoid. Seriously? All three classic game systems for $12? And to boot...the graphics are pretty damn good!

The only thing I have ever used the trackpad for is to take pictures with the camera. I dont play games on it and editing text I can do by touch.

Not spending my money on a semi-better phone and using that money for a way better phone in a year?!

From the X forums they say the speaker is just as loud if not louder.

Well alot of people would rather have a motorola rather then an htc after the deboccle with the incredible and evo. Motorola is knows for its good build quality, not so much the case with HTC

AMOLED has better contrast and is more vivid, Lcd you can see better outdoors. Personally, I use my phone indoors mostly so I would rather have a better picture.

    6. Screen too big (?)

I guess to each his own. No offense to anyone, but I can just imagine someone on the X's side with the following list as to why DINC owners are unfortunate:

    1) Too small for American hands.
    2) Not an MOTO device, therefore no MOTO BLUR.
    3) Optical trackball, how sad.
    4) Touch-sensitive buttons, easy to press the wrong button by mistake.
    6) screen too small
    7) speaker too loud
    8) Hard to see outdoors with AMOLED
    9) (I don't know what this means, so you can have it)
    10) no flash support (until late summer)

I own neither devices, but am trying to decide which to get.

It was stated that it isnt running blur, rather just a skin not full blown blur and screen size will be key to some who want a bigger screen. You're right each person is different and not everyone will like the phone or want it.

Yep. I'm a release day-er too. Oh well. That just means we'll be eligible for an LTE super phone by the time our NE2 is up :D

About the track pad... how can you guys NOT use it? I use it for web browsing all the time instead of zooming way in on a tiny link. I thought I was going to miss my Storm's point and click. Not with the D Inc's track pad.
