Help Reboot Indicators

What's the easiest way to determine if and when the Incredible reboots? Installed the Swype beta and believe the phone restarted at some point (not sure if there is a correlation). I have alogcat installed but am not sure what search criteria indicate a restart. Input is appreciated.

When your Incredible needs to reboot, it will mysteriously reboot...

To see if your phone has rebooted, go to Settings -> About Phone -> Battery. On the bottom it will show your uptime (how long the phone has been on). If it says less than it should (i.e. you haven't turned your phone off in 3 days, but the uptime says 20 hours), it has rebooted.

Is that really accurate? I watched as my phone rebooted itself earlier today, but my uptime shows 54 hours.

It would make complete sense if it was accurate.
The time of the reboot corresponds to my awake time. I'm not sure why that is. I don't think the boot screens show on waking, do they?
