Root rebooting problem with evil eris

I downloaded evil eris 2.1 to the download fold and then moved it to my sd card. Then when I go to reboot by pressing the power and the up volume button it goes to a screen with a exclamation point inside of a triangle with a phone under it. What does that mean? Did I download the file wrong? Please help

are you rooted?
If you are then you need to install the recovery.img.
If you're not rooted then that rom doesn't apply to you.

after you've done all this, THEN you can use the evileris .zip file to flash, from recovery.

Recovery (volume up + end) doesn't exist until you go through the process outlined in this thread:
