Receive sms on Bluetooth car stereo

Hi I have the Samung galaxy s2 and a Kenwood KDC-BT32u car stereo, with regards to the Kenwood it states that if supported that it can receive text messages and with having a smart phone, I thought it would simply just work but no it doesn't. Has anybody else tried or knows of a solution or an App as to resolve this. I am also using go sms pro not sure if this will conflict with any suggestions, I have also tried to use stock messaging that also does not work.
