Help receiving text for new voicemails....

So my wife decided to upgrade her phone to the droid but she doesn't get a notificaton on the top bar like I do on mine. Instead she gets a text message. How do I switch it for her?

I did some searching and I know visual voicemail is supposed to send texts but she is not paying for it and on her phone its still showing as an upgrade option...
