Help Recover files from internal memory

I deleted a video file by mistake. Software I've tried either is Windows-only or requires rooting. I tried rooting but so far have been unsuccessful, and in all honesty I'd prefer not to if it can be avoided; I have no other use for root privileges but plenty of potential use for my warranty.

All I want is this one video file. I know that it's not really "gone," especially since it's only been two hours and the only other thing I've done on my phone since then is surf the internet for ways to recover files.

Android v. 4.4.2
Carrier: AT&T
Computer: Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

I do have access to a PC (Win7), but since it's not mine I consider that a last resort.

When you delete something and want get it back, try not to do anything on your phone. Because the more action you do, the less chance you get the data back. Then, try some data recovery tool get the video back, like Dr.fone for Android.

Was the video file stored on your SD Card? If yes, try Recuva.

All apps that claim they can recover data from the internal memory are pretty much bogus.
