So I stumbled upon this screen when I left my Eris in my pocket one night. I pull it out and it's on what looks like a Diagnostic or recovery screen. Wondering what other people think of this.

You can access it by holding down the Call and End during the boot. There seems to be a recovery selection and a quick boot selection. Any thoughts?

I'm new to Android, so forgive me for not knowing if this is important or not:

Basically, I stumbled upon this by accident. If you shut down the Eris completely, then hold both the Call and the End button down while booting up the phone, you will come to what seems to be a recovery/Boot mode. Here is the code I got:

    Code:
    PB00100 XP SHIP S-ON
    HBOOT-1.46.0000 (BB0010000)
    MICROP-0111
    TOUCH PANEL-MELFAS_45_17
    RADIO-2.32.00.09.26

    FASTBOOT
    <VOL DOWN> H BOOT MODE
So, the last two things here:

    Code:
    RADIO-2.32.00.09.26
    OCT 5 2009, 19:21:56
Are the radio version and date the phone was flashed (just my intuition). From what I've recently read, this means we can flash stuff to the phone relatively easily. [IMG]

Hoping this helps. Much love to everyone who's trying to root this thing.
