I like the idea and having this feature would be awesome...but nothing I repeat nothing is ever going to replace my Valentine 1 RD and my Laser Interceptor Jammer that I have on both my '09 Yamaha R6 and my '06 Tacoma...:D

cops can't issue me tickets unless they know i'm speeding...and trust me they don't and can't tell...rofl

Radar detectors and laser jammers do absoulutley nothing for red light cameras.

As for Trapster, it may work well. Unfortunately, it cannot be overlayed on the phone's navigation feature.

Funny as hell that the screen shots for Trapster shows Fremont, CA. I have never seen so many red light cams as there are in Fremont.

I agree, it's a great idea, I definitely would like to see it added as a layer.

In reality, what would be great is if Trapster was updated to operate as a background service and its mapping interface be added as layers inside the main Maps/Navigation app.

the valentine 1 I have has picked up every single traffic light speeding camera there is in vegas...those cameras still use radar to detect for speeding and it uses timed pictures to detect others who have ran red lights or don't stop completely prior to the stop line to make right hand turns...

They have those up there now? I moved from there a few years back, maybe I just mistook them for false alarms on the 215 :)

But I'm for any additional protection, I find my speed creeping up sometimes and I'm shocked to see that I'm speeding :) :)

I can sympathize with this much detection equipment. I certainly speed enough to warrant it, and I'm putting a V1 in the next car I get. My buddy has one and it's saved him a ton of money around where we live.

nope I just got a buddy who tests a lot of radar and laser jammer equipment...so he gives me products for free...:D

trust me I have more then put these products to the test on my R6...saved my ass more than 1...

we have done test coming around turns at 115+ and the V1 picked up laser and radar detections up to 1000 directly in front and up too 2700 feet when on a turn...

speed trap cameras at stop lights use instant on Ka band and 2 second instant-on burst intervals...granted if your going 100+ through the intersection there's no way in hell you have enough time to slow down...but being able to detect the radar signal beyond 1000' your more likely to slow down in time and avoid the speed trap...

there aren't as much as there were a year ago...mostly cause the camera speed trap cameras at the stop lights are so inaccurate...they have removed most but I know where majority of them are and I completely avoid those intersections...:D back roads FTMFW!!!

exactly...there is no radar/laser detector that's better the the V1 on the market...

Is your laser Jammer built into the V1?

I have never used them and only had 1 ticket that I got in Alabama this year..what a joyful time..lol

Thanks for the info..Im looking at the V1 now online.

If that`s you,you have a little mad skill happening there.I know about the ladys and bikes.Every time I take one of mine out girls always say..pop it up.
I had a family beside me at a red light asking me to ride one down the street,I said if you can keep up I will..and they did.The entire family was clapping and having a blast.I really enjoyed that my self!!

glad to meet a fellow rider!!

no problem bro...I can talk to my buddy and see what kind of deal he can give you...but the only thing with V1's is that the V1 manufacturer makes retailers mark up the price...honestly your best bet is ebay...

yeah i've been riding dirt bikes ever since I was young...street bikes since freshmen year of high school...yes that is me...:D I don't stunt as much as I did before...but definitely love to throw wheelies, indos, and circle wheelies when I got the itch...

don't you just love it when others are begging for a wheelie or burn out...I know I do....

my favorite thing above all to do is smashing ricers...you know those honda racer wanna bees think their car is fast just cause they got an intake and coffee can exhaust...haha...when I race em I tell em straight out you better be on it cause i'll beat your ass on 1 wheel...they are usually surprised that I can hold a wheelie through all 6 gears even more so when I smash em from light to light they usually make the very next turn and don't stop cause they know they just got their ass handed...MUHAHAHA
