Is there an easy way to tell if your moto droid is a refurb?

If you cant tell from using it or looking at it, it doesn't matter ;)

This discussion popped up in another thread. To be honest a refurb is probably better than a new one, because a refurb has to go through stringent tests where as a new phone doesn't.

Like the guy above said if it doesn't appear like it from the outside, it's not worth worrying about :D

well thanks for the replies, but these replies DO NOT answer my QUESTION. i am in no way interested in someone explaining to me why a refurb is a good phone. this question is quite simple. IS THERE A WAY TO EASILY TELL IF YOUR MOTO DROID IS A REFURB?

Depends where you get it from. At the Verizon store, the refurb will come in a white box, and usually has a clear film on the screen with wording stating it is a refurb.

    yes,

just call into customer care and ask if your ESN number has ever been previously activated. They keep a record for warantee purposes. If you BOUGHT a refurb, you have a 3 month warranty. If you bought what you though to be a new phone, and actually got a refurb, then you have NO warranty.
