Ive had a look around various forums and cant seem to find an answer but is there a way, WITHOUT rooting, to remove preinstalled apps on the HTC Desire. Such as Facebook ,twitter, stocks, friendstream, footprints.

Any help or info would be appreciated. Cheers

as far as i know, its not possible.
You have to root the device to a rom that doesnt include them.

You can remove carrier added apparently by flashing to a generic ROM (which does not require rooting) but the apparently you mention are embedded within the generic ROM.
