So I just rooted my phone and removed all the unnecessary apps like myspace, thinkoffice, Amazon MP3, etc. Now when I go into the applications list (where I can uninstall programs), all the programs I just uninstalled are in there with their package name. How do I get rid of them?

To remove the programs, I just did the "rm myspace.apk" command.

You removed the code, but not the associated application data. Fortunately, it's easy to remove the data now... just select Uninstall from Manage Applications.
