Removed SD Card notification

I am getting a Removed SD Card notification. It says to "Insert a new one"
THe card is installed. When I go to Settings/SD Card, the Unmount SD Card and Format SD Card are grayed out. I can't access any pics or music as it says no Media Card. What is going on and how do I get the phone to recognize the SD Card?

Take out the SD card and reinsert it back in.

Yeh, I had tried that several times. Then I noticed I had installed it wrong. The card had gotten up under the metal clip above the mount. Doh!
Corrected it and problem solved.
