I just saw this article on GigaOm.com. Republic Wireless is a new wireless carrier and they are opening their doors on Nov 8th. The bottom line is that they say they are rolling out a new technology that will allow them to provide you unlimited; calls, SMS, and data for $20 per month. I know sounds too good to be true. Also if you register on their site you will get an additional promo on Nov 8th via email.
The concept of Republic Wireless is that when you are in an WiFi area the call will be placed or recieved via WiFi, otherwise it will use a cell network.
