Could someone connect to their phone and do a `ls -l /system/bin/insmod` or `ls -l /system/bin/toolbox` who does not have root?

Could someone connect to their phone with the sdk and run a shell and execute either of those commands. That is assuming one can connect to their phone with shell and not be rooted.

    Thanks for the quick replies.

You wanna tell us what it does before someone just runs random commands on their phone?

Sorry I left that off, it will list the file permissions for the file /system/bin/insmod or toolkit. ls is a standard command on any unix system. The file in question is for loading kernel modules and I haven't found online a clear answer for if a non rooted user can execute that command. I have read varying notes that android has loadable models enabled but other thats say you can't load the modules so I am seeing if the command is even executable by not root users.

If I'm not mistaken, you have to be rooted to even mount the system to access it in adb shell. So this would not be possible on a non-rooted Dinc.

I got the same permissions on my non-rooted 2.2 Incredible. (Used "Terminal Emulator" app)
