Can someone please post a video, for those of us newbies to rooting? I'm looking at the instructions, but not understanding any of this. I can't even find a folder called C:\android-sdk-windows

I downloaded the 3 files, but have no idea what to do with them. If I can see how to do it on a video, then I can do it myself (monkey see, monkey do).

    Thanks.

Update: someone on this forum helped me. thanks.

    ...

not to be an ass, but the instructions are VERY straightforward and-again in not trying to be an ass-if you cant figure them out, whether its because your not that familiar with computer or whatever, you probably shouldnt be rooting.

do some researching and figure out what your actually doing when you chmod or adb push etc, before you do something like rooting.

I just want to get rid of all the apps that Verizon/HTC put on my phone. That's my main reason for wanting to root. If there is a way to do that without rooting, that works for me.

    I'm using Windows 7 Enterprise.

im sure you can ask someone for help, people would be happy to walk you through it, in fact if you not busy i can hop on gchat and help you, but i think asking for a video is a bit much

You say "monkey see, monkey do", but you gotta remember that monkey also has to understand.

Someone (tereg), over at XDA, mentioned creating a video but myself and others suggested not to. As noted above, this method is 99% typing at the command line. There's no button-pushing on the phone, timing of things, etc, etc. At this point, someone has created a batch file that still requires the user to type, but a very small amount now. It can't be made any simpler... If it's still too difficult, well...

If anything computers should be more difficult, not easier. Nobody learns anything these days. :)
