    Swapped the Cappy on Monday.

    Results:

Yep, GPS still broken, but I don't need it...
Not much lag, but haven't really loaded it up yet...

I kept my original battery, as it was fine, and the one that came in the NEW cappy had like ZERO juice - wouldn't even power it up enough to tell you it's dead. Wasn't comfy with that, and I was comfortable with my battery...

All that being said, one thing I can definitely say, the radio on this one is either WAY better, or the one on my first one sucked - BAD! At work, I'd be lucky to get 1 bar, and always Edge. Now, this one gets 4-5 bars at work, and ALWAYS 3G unless I go DEEP into our buildings.

I think it's time to take mine in and compare the -dB to the floor models. I keep hearing these stories about people getting awesome gps and awesome radios and makes me wonder what's up and whether I should exchange again.

Any difference in your screen tint(blue vs. more natural)?

Yes. The whites specifically. The older ones tend to have a more blueish tint to the whites.

No, you shouldn't. 95 percent of the time it's nothing more than a placebo effect. Await any official word from Samsung if there has been an honest hardware revision or software update to address any issues. Any other claims at this point are merely speculation and rumors.

All I can say, is for nearly a month, 1bar and Edge all-day, every day at work. Not even power-offs or reboots fixed this. Swap the phone, and 4 straight days of 4+ bars an always 3G.

I'll take that placebo ANY day - I went from virtually unusable off Wifi, to being able to use Pandora on 3G! With the old one, even going outside and rebooting would still bring it up on Edge.

Similar thing at home, but not as drastic.
At home, I was lucky to get a bar, and now it hovers between 1 and 2, and I can actually get 3G there...

As I said in my OP - I don't know if it's an improvement, or if my original phone's radio sucked THAT much.

Well I took mine in and compared it to the floor models. Sitting right next to the store phones (I tried all three of them), all the phones showed -51 dB including mine. But mine was the only phone that kept bouncing between -81dB and -51dB every 15-30 seconds while the store phones were rock solid.

I cannot explain it. Neither could the store manager. I didn't exchange it yet, but I still might, because this worries me.
