Root Revert back to old camera firmware?

How do I revert back to the old camera firmware after I upgraded it? I tried flashing a new rom but camera still gives me the error?

I flahed mine using BHMAN's Behold 2 1.6 rom and it worked.When you flashed yours what rom was you using?If you was on any Behold2 rom than it should have worked,now if u flashed usin Galaxy rom that might brick your camera.Try Behold2 1.6-it worked for me.

I used the behold rom no touch wiz to flash the new camera firmware. But when I open the camera it gives me an error, saying wrong firmware and that I needed to upgrade it. So I odin back to the same rom to see if that would fox it, but it didn't???

You did use that tip that lviv73 gave to update the camera firmware right? With anycut!

I even went back to stock touchwiz 1.5 and the camera still has that error " Firmware Version is wrong, you must update firmware" please help!?!!!

Paul always do a little research before messing with files on your phone when you don't know for sure what they do or why they are there. This was posted in the same thread as this so called tip.

Running CameraFirmware.apk can cause a possibility to BRICK your camera. Please DO NOT run it!

ya I saw that...you posted that after I already did it...my camera works fine, it just shows that error like we saw on the galaxy 1.5 rom or what ever it was. It only shows the error when the camera first starts up then its fine, it only shows it once...its just a little annoying!

Well that's good that at least it's working. Worst case the phone is not a year old so you could always get a refurb from tmo if you wanted.

all other camera apps dont work right though they will take the first pic but then then next time to take the picture again, the view jumps very slightly up and down and is locked on where i took that first pic??? WTF lmao. This sucks! Is there anyway to get the old firmware flashed back?

Don't believe there is. At least not away that I can find. Everything i've read says not to mess with camera firmware so no one is doing anything with flashing/updating/downgrading camera firmware.

Paul push the camera fix posted in op of stock 1.6 rom. It just may fix things for you.

I went back to stock 1.5 and tried to update firmware from there. The touchwiz camera no longer shows the error and other cameras are working in 1.5. So now I'm gonna go back to 1.6 and see if it will still be working there....God I HOPE it Does!
