ok so.......do this, power the phone on. do you have a file manager app on your phone? if not then download es file manager from the market. open the app up and use it to navigate to your card. you should be able to see the the PC36IMG file. does it have an extension on it?

ok you need to add a zip to it. you can do it in astro by long pressing it and change the name and add the .zip part to it.

hmmmmm so weird. you have me stumped at the moment.

but good news is that you are unlocked and have amon ra2.3 recovery. you can now flash roms, kernels, themes and mods!!!!!! yes your bootloader will be watermarked. but so what. sprint does not support the evo anymore and if you have assurion insurance you can send it as is with no issues what so ever if anything goes wrong. i will try and see if i can get the captains help tomorrow and see why the bootloader is not recognizing the file.

ill PM you when i get an idea or help from the captain.

and to give you a head start try out mikg3.0. it is a super sweet rom that is waaaaaaay better then stock.

also read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html and go to the life after roo sections. plenty of great info there.

    oh damn nice!!!!
you should go to the dummies guide and look into partitioning it. when you do so you can move your apps to the sd card and never have to worry about space again. i have 160 apps on my evo right now!!!! with 200mb still left on the phone.

it will wipe the card yes. so make sure before you do it that you back the card up on your computer. those steps are outlined in the guide.
