Just curious...on your Vibrant, does the ringtone for a call fade in...on mine, it starts quiet, then it's loud. There is no fade at all. not sure if it's a problem, or not.

Mine does the same thing. Not that big of an issue.

no, not a big issue if it's supposed to be this way. But, my friend has a captivate, and (according to him), it fades in. So, I wasn't sure if I had a problem or not.

Mine fades in also by default. It starts really low then louder. It doesn't actually fade, it kinda just jumps. It starts off really low, then by the second ring jumps to full volume. I can't find any settings to change this.

Thought it was just mine, guess everyones is like this.

I don't like that it does this but I guess you can't change it.

Ugh, if there's any way to fix this it'd be much appreciated. The "jump" isn't THAT annoying on the default ringtones but it sounds completely ******ED when you have a song as your ringtone--to the extent that I'm probably going to have to add a few seconds of silence to the beginning of it (which gives me less time to pick up the phone! *shakes fist*).

Anyone find a way to prevent the incoming call from jumping/fading in?

I like it. It gives you a second or two to answer a call before it goes MOTORHEAD volume and everyone looks at you. A useful feature for me, anyway.........

    An educated guess my friend....
There's rock and roll, then there's MOTORHEAD!

It would be nice if this could be a toggle'd feature, one we could switch on or off at our disposal.

    Maybe in FROYO?

I'm in the same boat. I like how it gives me a second or two of quiet disturbed before it starts blasting the Stricken solo for everyone in a fifteen yd radius to hear. One complaint I DON'T have with this thing is the speaker volume...speaker phone, ring tones, videos/media...all plenty loud...lol MUCH louder than my buddy's iPhone even. That kinda surprised me.
