Ringtone Problem

I have a Desire HD which I have had for 18months now.

All of a sudden for two particular contacts when i receive notifications such as whatsapp it plays my phone call tone.
I have also noticed that when i look at the contact in my phone book where it says default ringtone it say my calltone in brackets, even though the tone is set to default, it doesnt do this for other contacts. I have also noticed that it puts the brackets up upon linking the contact to Facebook?

Please help I am sick of hearing my ringtone for whatsapp for two specific contacts.

Also i have deleted the contacts and it still adds the brackets with the name of the tone.
