ringtones

I have ringtones saved to my sd card..How do i access them and put them as specific tones for people? Do I need an app to do that?

You can use an app to do that... you can also do it manually though, on some phones, you need to place the ringtones in a certain directory on your SD card and briefly set them as the default ringtone to make them available for use as a ringtone.

When I try to do that (make directory) It will not let me do that, It says I do not have permission. Any ideas?
