i bought a live dvd of a local musician i'm really into and a few of the songs aren't on any of his cds.

anyone know how to rip the audio and split it into tracks so I can put it on my ipod? note: the songs are all split into chapters if that makes it easier

IMO the easiest way is to use Audacity to record the DVD soundtrack. You'll need to set your Record settings to 'Stereo Mix' or 'What You Here', depending on your sound card. With Audacity you can edit, split and encode the audio into MP3 or Ogg Vorbis or whatever audio format you need.
