    Hi,

I really want to use Maps offline on my phone, as i will be traveling a lot. I want to try and get Rmaps working but i have run into difficulty's in getting preloaded maps to work.

I created the maps and then the .tar file and loaded them into the correct folder on the SD card. The program finds the file and lets you select it. Then it trys to index the map and this is where the problem happens. shows 0% and 1/4803 files and stays like this. There is never any progress.

Has anyone used the program and if so have you got a preloaded Map to work?

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks in advance.

Is this in the right forum?

RMaps uses maps in BigPlanet SQLite format. To be able to create this file TrekBuddy needs an additional library (a dll file and a jar file). See README.HTM in TrekBuddy folder for more info on RMaps format and the library installation.

I know that custom made offline maps are store at the sdcard, but is it possible to store the Rmaps online maps cache on the sdecard as well?

    Regards,

first, you will need to download (mobile atlas creator version 1.8) on your pc, which allow you to download google maps of any where and any size. unlimited.
note: select map source (google maps). zoom level (17 is good for cities). atlas settings (format: RMaps SQLite). then create it. then, insall (rmaps) on phone.
copy paste the saved maps the (phone memory> rmaps> maps). then open rmaps>settings>user defined maps> select the maps.
it work great. i have all europe (google maps) saved on my phone. enjoy.
