Getting ready to take a job that will involve air travel, hotels, rental cars et al.

Any tips for the best travel app out there?

    Check Flight Status
Maybe be able to reserve from the device etc.?

What one or combination of programs do you use?

With the exception of anything airline related, I find WHERE to be great for finding all sorts of things around you. Search "airline" on the market and I think you'll find what you want - "Kayak Flight" looks interesting.

Worldmate is good as well and Flightview has a home screen widget that tracks your flights. None of them seem to let you update your itinerary from the app though which bugs me.

I travel a fair bit. Just finished 27th trip this year.

I definitely would recommend tripit. Easy to use, just forward your itinerary to their email and it auto populates the android app with all the info.

Also, see if your airline of choice has their own app, pretty sparse for the Android market right now. But there are some out there. Also, sign up for email and/or text notification at airline's site. American will tell you what carousel your luggage will be at. They will update you as to the flight status.

I have tried Poynt, Where, Yelp and others. None are bad, but none seem to differentiate themselves from the others.
