Hi, I did a lot of research all around but I didn't find a concrete definitive, answer to my question. Android Version: 2.1 Network: Rogers Are you rooted: NOT rooted and not planning to be. Issue: I use my Desire with Rogers in Canada. My HTC Desire was bought from Telus and unlocked with an unlock code, then I changed to Rogers. Telus is coming up with the froyo update sometime soon, this week or something like that, and I wanted to know if I will be able to do the OTA update with from my rogers SIM Card when Telus releases the upgrade. If not, is there any way of getting a Froyo OTA update? Without the need of creating a gold card? I know it is not hard, but I don't want or require a gold card for every future update, what if i lose it?. I just want an OTA update. I don't mind waiting some time. If this is not possible, could I find somebody who has a Telus simcard, put it in my Desire and download the OTA update that way? I've read that in Europe people got the OTA no matter what carrier they use their phone with, even if it is not the one they bought it from. Thanks a lot for your help.
