[ROM][4.2.2][JDQ39][03/06/2013] CM10.1 for SPH-D710VMUB

Hi! So I have to say, I really like everything about Cyanogenmod that I've seen so far. Sadly, when I was finally able to get everything set up and flashed correctly, I've been having an on and off issue with the screen not re-orienting when I flip the phone to landscape. This was a big enough issue that I had decide to go back to stock, but to my dismay, the problem also occurs with stock! I've tried resetting, formatting, and re-flashing everything imaginable, and using the official GB28 installer from Samsung, all multiple times, and I cannot get this issue to go away!

The weird thing is that it doesn't look like the physical hardware is damaged. I downloaded a couple tester apps (like with a ball in the center that moves around as you tilt it) and these perform flawlessly. However, I can't understand how the problem could then be following me back to the stock setup.

Any help would be greatly appreciated: there are some other issues with CM (phone muting so other person can't hear me, sms occasionally refusing to send) that make me want to fully reset to factory settings, but I can't find a way to do it that will cure the re-orient problem!

I had the same exact problem and posted the fix here....will find it and post the link.

This is the ROM to flash in order to get the Calibration settings back. This ROM is actually my Daily Driver:

The Calibration value's are in Settings - Advanced - Sensors.

I've had intermittent GPS issues on every AOSP rom I've tried on this phone, it's a common issue. Some things that I've tried that helps, in no particular order: rebooting sometimes does the trick, you can clear cache and dalvik while you're at it just for good measure. Trying different gps programs can work, sometimes one will lock when others wont (google maps, waze, gps toolbox, gps aids, etc.). Toggling off gps/network locations/wifi, then trying to get a lock turning them back on one by one, ie. try with only gps, then with gps and network locations, then with wifi on also.

I've also had luck just turning on my gps, plugging it into a charger and just waiting for a lock. It doesn't always work, and when it does it can take quite a while. Flashing Exit_Only's GPX fix can help as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38262278&postcount=2

I am not sure why but this works the best for me with GPS locking on my phone. Go to your gps.conf file and leave only these three items in it.

XTRA_SERVER_1=http://xtra1.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
XTRA_SERVER_2=http://xtra2.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin
XTRA_SERVER_3=http://xtra3.gpsonextra.net/xtra.bin

This is the gps.conf file that was with FL14 and it works great on my phone with CM10.1. I am guessing it uses some default settings if the other stuff isn't there. All I can say my GPS works great with these settings.

No, I used stock ICS fl26 modem and I used el29 direct boot. And then flashed twrp 2.5.0.0. recovery. Its hard to do, but can't seem to get MMS to work. I like the smooth response of the ROM.

Ive seen a couple YouTube reviews of the rom it looks sweet. Can twrp just be flashed through atgats? (Probably spelt thay wrong, again im new to samsung) then flash the modem, rom, gapps, and vm fix throuth twrp?
