My camera doesnt work at all, niether does 3rd party apps, I open the camera and I get "error, cannot connect to camera" please help me fix this, I re flashed the rom but nothing.

The camera issue has been known for a while now, although it only seems to affect some users(myself included). As for 3rd party apps, never had that problem. A sort of solution would be to check out MiHome, an MIUI style launcher which also includes a MIUI style lock screen. I tested it on Metropolis and Slimbean Beta 3(with only minor hiccups on Slim).

Part of me really hopes this gets an update and that the camera will work then. But devs have lives and I'm a patient guy.

I just don't get it. How is it that only a select few of us are having camera problems? That is seriously the only thing keeping me from using this as my daily.

Some people have reported this on some aosp ROMs like black bean...it just happens to some I guess...

Im tempted to go flash back to Miui, does anyone else think its worth losing the camera (3rd party apps dont work either) the rom was really smooth and fast.

I never had any problem with the camera went I was using miui.

Okay, because you asked I have begun an attempt to get you guys an update. So far, success! 3.8.9 is booting. 4g doesn't seem to work though. Had to do an nv restore after I restored my old ROM. Didn't have time to test anything else. So now its up to you guys. Want an updated released? 4g might not work for now though. Let me know :thumbup:

Its uploading right now guys this is a port from the Sprint Version. So you'll see sprint everywhere, for now

I'll polish it up today and release tomorrow.

Wipe System, Data, Cache and Dalvik!

Flash ROM first then gapps.

Haven't thoroughly tested yet. Data is working but not 4g for me. Let me know what is borked. Happy flashing!

thanks for the awesome work!

sadly, i couldn't get past the gmail sign-in. i would press "existing" and then got a Settings FC. wash, rinse, repeat.

btw, i did a clean install. not sure if that helps any.
