Root [ROM] [CM11] [4.4] CM11 For the LG Spectrum

Good news everybody:
We're really close to the overlay issue being fixed now. Screen sizes, properties, and everything match up, but the source is rotated 90 degrees. That final fix should clear this.

Mind submitting a pull request for those changes on my Github? ;)

OK, well, I'm not dead, but I did go silent for a few days, and you probably won't here much from me for a few more. The radio BS on the newest CM builds has me to the point that I can't stay on the new builds to test them. I went back to my 3/14 build for the time being. I'm still working forward, but until I can figure out who fubar'd the radio functions, I won't be field testing updates during the week, only on weekends.

Not a problem, we appreciate anything you can do! Thanks for all of the hard work.

I was running the unofficial 3-14 Build and tried to wipe and flash the 4-15 build with KK Gapps from the CM link. I got past the basic sign in, but the phone kept displaying the lg logo when it was supposed to display the home screen. The recent apps worked though. I can test new builds though.

For the official builds, what day's build in April has working wifi and seems stable.

That's probably a better question for the Official CM11 thread:

This thread is more for the unofficial nightlies, that were started by D2A.

4-15 was the last one posted, and it really wasn't stable.

http://androidfiles.massivefilehost.com/cm11/cm-11-20140427-UNOFFICIAL-vs920.zip

New build

Pros:
I seem to have fixed most of the network drop issues, by adding in the additional networks to one of the config files.
I seem to have fixed most of the slowdown issues, by adding in a ton of SELinux permissions that were missing.

Cons:
The radio itself still sucks, and if your signal jumping, it will crash what ever is on screen. This is still a CM issue.
If you're coming from an old build, say 3-14, and the LTE radio doesn't come on at boot, you will need to wipe data and start fresh.
The pull down menu still freezes on occasion. This is still a CM issue as far as I can tell.

Looking for more feedback, especially with folks who still have bluetooth issues.

I have been using as a daily Rom one that Neph81 made about 2 months ago or so. It has been the most stable and everything working with the only annoyance that when using the video to record takes about 3/5 seconds to actually starts and the Lg logo popping out when I would switch to Mini opera browser. But that's it , this Rom is incredibly stable . I can experience Kitkat with the latest Google Launcher Now that even updates from the store. Only 15 % of phones out there are using Kitkat .
Being using Neph81 cm-11-20140130unofficial rom with Gapps-kk-20131208 and it is very smooth and fast and only experienced 2/3 reboots during first days then got super stable . I found that I can "activate " Google Now hands free, by saying ...ok Google..from any of my 6 screens and get phone to play music , text, navigate ,open apps, emails, set alarms ,make phone calls very easily . Also the battery will use almost no juice at all while not in use . Overall I found that the battery life has increased by about 15 % from Stock ICS . Also the Kitkat Wallpapers are beautiful..I use the yellow one .Really a great job , thank you so much. I recommend this Rom , I have tried the others but this one I can say that I am keeping it . I don't think Gapps matter much with this Rom but I used the 20131208 because it included the messages widget.

03/14 is still my personal favorite. That was when I had everything buttery smooth, and the only glitch at that time, was the video preview in aftermarket camera software. When I'm not actively testing builds, I always go back to that one. You may want to upgrade to that build as well.

General comments on my experience.

BT works initially, but after a couple of trips in and out of the car I have to restart it to connect again.

Have to pull the battery some mornings after it's been on the charger all night. (Just went to look a the phone and it did the same thing here on the work desk)

Battery life is still pretty meh, although I do commute on public transit and go in ant out LTE, plus the phone battery is now multiple years old.

All in all minor annoyances, certainly appreciate the development work, since I'm on grandfathered unlimited plan will keep this until I have to fork over full price for something newer.
