ROM Update from 3?

Hi

I read somewhere that 3UK had released a ROM update 2.73.771.73 (3UK) (Jan 2010) but it was unclear what had been changed if anything. Has anyone updated to this ROM and if so........ is it worth it?

Also.....Will 3Uk customers have to wait for 3 to release their version of 2.1. My phone has little if any relevance to 3 eg no branding etc, will I be able to update as soon as its released?

Only difference I noticed was not being able to root the phone with one click methods, had to revert to the goldcard.

Apart from that i'm not sure, and there are no change logs anywhere.

3 don't have much branding on the phone but they seem to have their own roms.

I'm not entirely certain, but your be able to upgrade to a generic 2.1 ROM I believe and then always shove the 3 one on when it comes out.

But again, I can't be certain if that would work or not.
