This is from Birdman's twitter last night, do you think this means a "blurless" ROM of Froyo could be on the way?

I think it could mean virtually anything. I wouldn't even hazard a guess from that little tweet

This would be especially great if we could get a one click root for 2.2 so that then those like me who lost root and cannot figure out the go to 2.1 instructions could simply move forward to flashing a new rom which I, at least on my evo, could figure out how to do (with the help of a video and an instructions for noobs and idiots thread)

If I was secure enough that I could follow the directions to go back to 2.1, root and reflash properly this time, I would. I am just not that confident and right now, even with some frustrating forceclosing and marketplace bugs, I need the phone itself which is working, more than I need the marketplace and music player etc. Plus, not only am I concerned about my lack of ability to follow those instructions (please note, I am not blaming the instructions - just my lack of comprehension), I also am a little worried after reading threads where people could not get their phones to reactivate. I think right now I will wait until I get the courage to say screw it and try the revert back method. thanks

I've had to every time. My girlfriend's phone did not need it, however her PRL was different than mine so I ended up doing it to her phone anyway. It's just good practice to update anyway so no reason not to.
