    I will most likely have to send my phone in for a refurb, but I have a few questions. Right now I am rooted, and I know I need to unroot. I have purchased several root-only apps from the market and I would like to know if what will happen to them during the process. Of course I know that when I unroot I will lose everything and then not be able to use them. But once I root my new phone will I be able to reinstall them? And will the people be able to view them in my downloads?

    it *should* be synced with your google account.....and if you unroot using the 2.2 RUU (or the 2.1 ruu, but why use that when we are officially 2.2) will wipe your data anyway

    @JDK

    Is the 2.2 RUU just removing the Rom.zip from the executable file? Will that automatically remove all signs of root also or are any other steps required? Is there a trustable PB31IMG.zip out there for return to 2.2 "stock" (meaning the new standard in stock).
