I'm getting really frustrated trying to root this phone. Everything I've found in my searching only makes me hopeful, but leaves me disappointed because it's not quite what I need.

    Here's what I have:

    HTC Wildfire
    Firmware 2.1-update 1
    HBOOT 0.24.0000

Windows 7 64-bit (regular 32-bit drivers don't work with this OS)

Can anyone direct me to a step-by-step guide (along with download links) for how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Also, Unrevoked says "Device Bee is not supported" so that doesn't work either. But surely there's a way to root this phone. It's ages old. :-/

    Im having problems with this,

    HTC Wildfire
    Firmware 2.1-update 1
    HBOOT 0.80.0009

    Windows xp

I think i already installed the hboot driver but im not sure because when i put the phone in hboot i cant see anything saying "hboot usb" i only got "fastboot" "Recovery" "clear storage" "Sim lock".

But i plug it in the pc and it changes from hboot to hboot usb plug, and my computer recognizes it, when i go to device manager under android phone i have android bootloader interface.

So if i open unrevoked it should recognize the phone and root it but its not doing anything. Any help? Thanks!
