Help root/ROM help!

I'm having lots and lots of freezing issues with my droid lately. i originally rooted and installed frozen liquid yogurt and the blueberry theme and it worked just fine for a while....then it started acting weird and i had to do battery pulls several times. so then i tried the new fly version and that was just as bad, if not worse. so i then tried the chevyss 4.7 rom and it worked OK, but wouldn't let me into my gmail.

any thoughts on what to do or where to start????

I've had bad experiences with all of the Froyo Roms. The Rom I have had most luck with and have had for quite some time: Bugless Beast V.04 with a Slayher Kernel.
