Haven't done it myself, but each phone here does have their own how to root section. Being a Samsung I am sure yours does too. You just have to look for it here on the forums. Good luck!

Welcome to the forums
You will need to use odin, you really need to read through the stickies rooting for dummies guide first to understand what and how its all about. Then post questions in that section and you will get plenty of help.

That is the only way. If you use an app or anything else you can and probably will brick your phone.

ONLY a Windows computer and Odin will root your Prevail !!!

I'm a newbie myself and just rooted my phone two days ago with absolutly no problems or issues. I followed the step by step instructions suggested in the link listed above. These guys know their stuff. Trust them.
