    Hello,
I just ran the persistent root and it worked great. I'm trying to copy arabic fonts from the memory card into the phone but am running into a problem after running adb shell. The device is recognized by the pc and lists it as "sgh-t939". But the second command I think it wants to remount the memory card [ remount rw ] and I'm encountering a problem -- displays "remount: not found" I am simply following directions for adding the same fonts from a rooted galaxy. I have highlited where I'm stuck in red. I would appreciate any help here as I'm a newbie and don't understand all the commands.

    Here's a copy of what i'm trying:

    D:\Android\sdk\tools>adb devices
    List of devices attached
    " your device here"

    D:\Android\sdk\tools>adb shell
    su $
    su
    remount rw #
    remount rw
    cat /sdcard/libskia.so > /system/lib/libskia.so #
    cat /sdcard/libskia.so > /system/lib/libskia.so
    cat /sdcard/libskiagl.so > /system/lib/libskiagl.so #
    cat /sdcard/libskiagl.so > /system/lib/libskiagl.so
    cat /sdcard/libwebcore.so > /system/lib/libwebcore.so #
    cat /sdcard/libwebcore.so > /system/lib/libwebcore.so
    cat /sdcard/DroidSansFallback.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf #
    cat /sdcard/DroidSansFallback.ttf > /system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf
    remount ro #
    remount ro
    exit #
    exit
    exit $
    exit
    D:\Android\sdk\tools>s

Remounting code is a little different for the Behold 2. I pulled this off the persistent root commands. Just cause the codes work for the G1 does not mean it will work for the behold 2 especially since the file system is different

    mount -o rw,remount /dev/st9 /system

Thanks psychoace, I really appreciate your help. I'll try again in a little bit and see what happens.

Thanks BH_Man. I tried what you mentioned and ran the most of the script. I didn't know what to do with the remount ro command at the end. I just exited out to see what would happen. After I rebooted the phone, it froze on t-mob picture so I had to reflash it.

I am trying to install arabic fonts into the phone for reading sms and display in the browser. I tried the fonts from mytouch on 1.5 but they didn't work. I also tried the fonts from galaxy spica i5700 on 2.1 but they didn't work either. Are they not going in the correct directory ? I have 3 total files from cupcake 1.5 : Font: DroidSansFallback.ttf , Lib: libwebcore.so, and libskiagl.so .

    Any ideas ?

It froze due to the libwebcore.so & likely the skiagle.so...

The webcore is Framework locked, the Libskiagle is just a 2d GL render & likely not needed...
DroidSansFallback.ttf is likely all that's needed.

Thanks BH-Man for your help. I installed the fonts alone and its now displaying arabic letters which is 1 step ahead of where i was earlier.
The other files are need to 'connect' the arabic letters and display them proper order 'from right to left'.
What do you mean by the webcore being frame locked ? And is there a way to unlock it.

Also, on a different note. Thanks for all your help with porting the galaxy software. You have been doing a great job. I was on a forum and I guess they have a 2.1 port for the galaxy spica i5700. Do you think then samsung is going to release that soon for behold 2 ?

The Framework.jar & Core.jar is Married to the Libwebcore.so . I know it can Me modded, but I've never done this.. I'll ask around to see if I can get it done for you..

BH_Man, I tried 'pushing ' the libwebcore.so but it would not let me get past the first command. Any ideas ?

These are commands I entered :

    adb remount
    adb push libwebcore.so /system/lib
