Okay so basically out of boredom last night I decided to root my phone. I did it via downloading the unrevoked app to my macbook and connecting the phone.

Afterword I found a wireless tether program and seems to be working fine. This was really the only reason I did it in the first place, and to see if I could.

After reading this I realize maybe I got lucky as I just got this phone )a replacement) two days ago. Seems like problems are common for people....

My question I guess is do I have to be careful about updates coming across the air to my phone and messing things up? Is there something I need to do to prevent this? Finally is there an easy way to un-root my phone if I need/want to. Will a master reset un-root it?

Finally what is a MUST HAVE for rooted phones other then free wireless tether?

Thanks and sorry for the noob questions about rooting...

Yes the pushed updates will generally break your root access

    Menu>System Updates>HTC Software Update.....Uncheck the auto update.

Awesome! Thanks I love it when things are so simple.

Any ideas about the whole un-rooting question?

Oh yeah also how do I go about deleting some of the worthless sprint apps like nascar and such, and is there any advantage (battery, speed, etc) to doing this?
