Hey everyone, just rooted my wifes Droid this morning (which was on 2.1 OTA update) with the .sbf recovery via RSDlite, then I used OMJ's update.zip to install superusers. Everything went perfect, however, now I am having trouble finding a kernel that will work. Have tried P3s and jdflg's which say they are for 2.1 but neither booted. Anybody have any suggestions?

You might want to try chevy's, they are suppose to work with any rom.

sweet thanks Emdmao, Now i have one questions if i follow the root instructions from the Droid-life site Guide to Rooting Android 2.1 on a Motorola Droid - Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog

and stick with just stock 2.1 root as the link states can i use one of those kernels in that link you posted? im totally new and kinda worried i might screw something up all i want to do is root and keep stock 2.1 and over clock to 800mhz :) thanks in advance
