Root Rooting 2.2.1

Hi all,

I just a new Nexus One with 2.2.1. I wanted to root but because Google patched the one-click root, I have been trying to look for tutorials to root. This is the one I found:

But I don't understand a thing.

This is what I have done yet:
Downloaded RageAgainstTheCage, superuser.apk, busybox and the android SDK. But I haven't got anywhere.

I have never rooted before. If anyone could redirect me to a Rooting 101 tutorial I'd really appreciate it.

Ignore all that, an easier option is:
