Anyone willing to walkthrough rooting my Droid X already on 2.2 leaked (using Droid2 method) ? Would like to install the Flyx or tranqulity, guess that's using rom manager and gotta have clockwork recovery installed prior.

Kinda nervous and helping hand would be nice :)

Thanks, if it's not worth it at this point and should wait till official 2.2 and roms on official release, please say so.

If you're already rooted on 2.2, this should be easy.

Install Koush's bootstrapper app, bootstrap the recovery. Download ROM manager, download FlyX, and install it. Make sure to check make a backup. You probably want to wipe data too, though that means having to set up your apps and settings again.

Then, if you'd like Tranquility, that's another file to download, put on your sd card, then just use the install ROM from sd card option in ROM manager to install it. No need to wipe anything this time.

I am not rooted, never have been. I updated from 2.1 to 2.2 leak without being rooted.

Look's like the Droid 2 root method works for DroidX on 2.2, so I would rather do that than do .sbf(which I don't know how to do as well).

Edit: I can put the adb folder anywhere right?

yes just remember where the tools folder is located because you have to direct to that to get commands to work
