I recently got the new Kindle Fire. I believe it is considered 5th Gen. It's the 7in $50 version.
I want to root it and then install an Android ROM on it so I can use it as an Android table (chromecast, etc) instead of having the Amazon skin and stuff on it. I did a Google search and have been trying various methods but none of them seem to work on my device. I believe that I have it rooted, but I can't seem to install Android on it.
Can anyone help me out?
