Help Rooting Samsung Galaxy S4 without Kies?

I can't figure out if there is a way to root my phone after the 4.4.2 update without kies 3. I had it rooted before the update by using kies 2.6 but my computer refuses to install kies 3 to redo the root; I keep getting a message after kies 3 download that it won't open (I have an older model computer so I guess that's why since 2.6 still works fine?). Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows a way to root without it. I tried Towelroot but apparently that doesn't work on S4
