Greetings! I just got the new Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I) and I'd like to root it. In the past I've used Odin and I know people have rooted SGS6 via Odin but since I only have access to Linux now, that's not an option. I found a post describing a manual way of rooting Android in general: by downloading su and busybox and placing them in /system/bin (while in download mode and the phone mounted somewhere), also downloading Superuser.apk and placing it in /system/app. What method would you recommend: Heimdall (which at the moment doesn't list SGS6 as a tested device) or the manual way?
