We are assuming that sort of thing will mostly be left to subsidies and the various carriers stocking the Tab, but there is a bit of a rumor flying around about the supposed off-contract price of the model in Europe.     Sheesh! I hope not, i really do. While it looks better than the ipad, at those prices its not going to convert too many!

    I heard another rumour that Samsung dont wnat it to go on general sale, only available through contract!

    One thing is for sure though, at that sort of price they are as well handing the tablet market to Apple for the rest of 2010 and probably at least the first quarter of 2011!

    The big companies (excluding Apple) are really missing the target audience with these pricing policies.

    The iPad sold because it already had a following who will buy anything that the company puts out. I dont think Samsung have any such following to count on, so I think their forray could well be destined for failure!

    I have really bought into doing things the tablet way! It is so much more convenient to pick up a tab, switch it on and in 10-20 seconds be doing what I wanted to do. I'm not convinced enough to use it for things like online banking and the likes, but for general stuff it is so much better than using a PC, lappy or netbook.

    At these sort of prices though, er NO DEAL! I'll wait and see what the chinese makers like Hiapad etc, come up with, a capacitive screen with a 1ghz processor running 2.1 or 2.2 for sub

    agreed. i have wanted a tablet pc since long before the iPad came along. i am wanting something to replace my laptop, which i only use for web browsing and some streaming. i did not get the iPad as its overpriced, if Samsung charge more than the
