Yeah it looks like Samsung is becoming the apple of the android world. I know several people with s3's and s4's and a few with note2's and none complain. I don't know any that root their phones but that should only make it better. The one thing that is really turning me is the beautiful screen on the notes. I'm a big guy and I don't think I'll have any problem handling a big phone. I don't know why people that have a problem with the form factor don't just invest in a good blue tooth headset anyway.

I'm looking forward to these phones when they come out. HTC has been good to me but I'm ready for something different. I don't think there's anything on the market but Samsung that I would bother with.

I'm not a big guy (5'6) and my hands are average size for my height, but the Note 2 is just at the border in comfort level for me. Had the Note 2 been wider than the Note 1, I might not have gotten the phone. The form factor on the Note 2 was what swayed me the most, to give it a shot. I have to say for sure that this would be my limit. The Note 3 is only a consideration, if they somehow squeeze that 6 inch screen into the current (or smaller) physical form. I wouldn't even mind slightly additional height, as long as the width is the same. I have a lot of great bluetooth accessories, but it's not enough for me to feel comfortable holding my phone (I text and email more than I make actual calls).

LG has made a really strong comeback. Many people were singing the same tune about LG, as they used to about Samsung. With the popularity of the Optimus G and the Nexus 4, they might be on a swing similar to Samsung after the S2 popularity.

I'm 6'4 and ride on a large frame. From the tip of my thumb to my middle finger is about 7.5". The bigger phones are harder to hold on to but they seem to make sense for my hands. These phones are all about the screen so I think the note just may be the perfect phone for me. I'm just hoping the hardware is up to snuff. If it comes as rumored I think I'll be happy.

My brother has an N4 and he likes it but I'm pretty much limited to Sprint right now. I have 4 phones on my account and it works out a little cheaper being on Sprint for me. Plus they are working pretty steady on the vision upgrades around here and about 1/3 of my medium sized town has active LTE now. I'll stick around until they start jacking up the price and limiting data, but I am purchasing all of my phones outright. The last contract on my account expired last month and we can jam if we need to at any time.

I know LG isn't the same as they used to be a long time ago but I would still be worried buying a phone made by goldstar if you know what I mean...

I hope the CPU makes it on the USA version. Since its a Snapdragon and works with LTE I don't see why it wouldn't.

If they use the Snapdragon in Korea, I can't see why they would go with their own exynos in the US. That would be backwards for past patterns. Interesting enough, many speculated that the Note 2 would have the same Snapdragon as the us s3, but that didn't end up being the case.

Glad I still love the Note 2, so I'm not antsy about waiting another 5-6 months until the Note 3 is released officially.

If the Galaxy Mega 5.8 or 6.3 are any indicators of the form factor that we'll be seeing on the Note 3, I'm likely sticking with the Note 2. The 5.8 alone adds so much additional height, that's there's no way I could handle using that phone 1 handed.

I went and played with a note2 the other day and with the phone in my palm I can get my thumb 1/2" from my ring finger in front of the phone. Like I said, I have pretty big hands. ;)

Like everything else, they made a big phone that sold a lot so they'll keep making them bigger and bigger until they quit selling. I want to say though that 6" is about the perfect size for a phone screen. Any bigger than that and they're really in tablet territory.

In order for US versions to get Exynos processor, two conditions should be met in my view.

The first is compatibility with qualcomm LTE radio. This has been the main reason why US GS3 didn't get Exynos as Samsung didn't resolve that issue by early summer last year. But fortunately they got that solved before releasing Note 2 last year. LTE compatibility is no longer issue for Exynos.

The second is volume production of Exynos for enough supply to each market. Although Note line is most successful phablet, it's still smaller volume than GS series phones. So Note 2 US versions could come with it unlike GS3 US versions.

The reason why GS4 US versions didn't get Exynos Octa is the production issue with Exynos octa according to Samsung. As for Note 3, it's not clear yet. But we should expect snapdragon 800 at least, which is not bad at all.

Noooooo that's too soon. Lol I was planning on saving a certain amount each week to get this phone. If this rumor is true then I better hurry up. I still think is dropping on Sept/Oct though.

If it goes on sale in July I'm sure you can still get it in September. :D

Haha true. I knew you were going to say that. I still don't believe this rumor though. J.K. Shin said it himself that the Note 3 will be announced at Sept.......unless that's a rumor too. Lol

i don't think it will be released before september (ifa). that digitimes article doesn't cite any sort of source at all.

how does the exynos octa match up against the snapdragon800? that rumored htc phone could be serious competition for the note 3.

I'm very intrigued about the Note 3. There are only a few factors that will play into my actually getting it 1) If my relative truly wants my Note 2, 2) If it physically isn't larger than the Note 2 (or at least not significant enough for it to be uncomfortable for me to hold), and 3) If I want to pay the off contract price.

I'm looking forward to seeing it formally announced, but am still completely content in keeping my Note 2.

I haven't had a snapdragon processor in quite some time, but really trust the advancements that Qualcomm has made through the years, so I wouldn't mind that at all. Not that I've been unhappy with the Exynos processor because it works just fine, but I've heard great things about the 800 also, since after all the phones with 600 processors had been released.

Ultimately, whichever processor make the smartphone experience just as great after loads of apps and cache has been built up...that will be the processor I prefer the most (and this is all without rooting).

Where did you read that? It may be so here in US. But I don't think Samsung will ditch Exynos altogether after all that R&D and investment into its manufacturing.

I should have been more specific. I meant for the U.S. versions. Although, the Note 2 had Exynos on our versions as well.

I heard about the 3GB of RAM and was like, thank god my contract expires when this phone is set to launch haha! I have been looking forward to potentially getting my hands on a "phablet" for awhile now.
